4th April - 1st June 2013 Angela Kennedy - Jewellery
Wirral based jewellery designer Angela Kennedy uses traditional silversmithing techniques to produce contemporary silver jewellery. She will be displaying her latest collection at the gallery from Thursday 4th April to Saturday 1st June 2013.

Karen Gilbert - Solo Exhibition Karen has exhibited widely across Merseyside & we are delighted to host a solo exhibition of her latest paintings.
Karen taught Art for many years before gaining her Masters Degree in 2005. She is inspired by the history of painting & developments in paint technology & describes her work as ". . . an evolution of thoughts interwoven with the physical process of applying acrylic paint to canvas."
Her exploration of different methods of applying acrylic paint result in artworks that are often mistaken as mixed media as they are very textural & tactile.
Bob's principal subjects are landscapes, cityscapes, docks & seascapes. He particularly enjoys the challenge of depicting the reflections & shadows to be found in these scenes.
Bob has exhibited throughout the North West of England & won awards for his paintings. A selection of his recent works was on display at Dee Fine Arts from Monday 8th April to Saturday 11th May 2013.

Ron Coleman
Our feature artist for March 2013 is Ron Coleman. Drawing inspiration from artists such as the American Abstract Expressionists & the Scottish Colourists, Ron Coleman aims to create work that is loose & spontaneous. He paints many different genres including landscapes, still lifes & abstracts.

Ronnie Dipple & Dave Shiers
This exhibition featured the work of two Wirral based artists & highlighted their very different approaches to painting land & cityscapes.
Ron Dipple's highly detailed studies of Liverpool Waterfront & Venice, demonstrating his fine, intricate brushwork were on display alongside Dave Shier's wonderfully atmospheric watercolour & oil paintings.

Ian Fennelly - The Coastal Show
Ian Fennelly is a professional artist & teacher based on the Wirral. He graduated from Wimbledon School of Art with a 1st class (Hons) degree & his work has been exhibited throughout the country.
The exhibition featured a collection of Ian's latest oils, watercolours & limited edition prints of the Wirral coastline.

Heswall Arts Festival 2012 As part of the Heswall Arts Festival 2012 we invited 23 artists with a connection to the Wirral to exhibit at the gallery.
There was an interesting & diverse selection of artworks on display in a variety of media including oil, watercolour & glass.
Jo Jenkins A stunning exhibition of landscape paintings by Chester based artist Jo Jenkins was displayed at Dee Fine Arts during May & June. Jo is inspired by her travels & her fascination with man's imprint on the landscape. Working in oil & gesso, Jo builds up layers of paint to create texture & depth in her ethereal, atmospheric scenes.

Jim's HeArt - 60th Birthday Exhibition Dee Fine Arts were delighted to host an exhibition of artwork by Jim Fleming in celebration of his 60th Birthday. We had a selection of both original watercolour paintings & prints on display including work from his recent travels abroad.
We always have a large number of both framed and unframed original artworks & prints by Jim at the gallery, plus you can find Jim painting at Dee Fine Arts on Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays.

Open Exhibiton of Art & Craft As part of the Heswall Arts Festival, Dee Fine Arts is holding an Open Exhibiton of work by local artists. Jim Fleming & David Shiers Throughout the summer of 2011 Dee Fine Arts held an exhibition of works by two Wirral based artists, Jim Fleming & Dave Shiers.
July - August 2011 Jamie Boots During July & August we held an exhibition of selected prints by this award winning wildlife artist. Jamie works in graphite pencil achieving very fine detail by scratching fur or skin texture into the paper & then working over the top of it with darker shades of pencil.

British Printmakers From 7th March - 23rd April 2011 we held an exhibition of works by a number of nationally & internationally recognised British Printmakers including Sir Peter Blake CBE RA, Barbara Rae CBE RA, Donald Hamilton-Fraser RA, Phil Greenwood RE, Dorothy Stirling & Kathleen Caddick.

Anne Corless “It is a great thrill to have been asked to exhibit my artwork at Dee Fine Arts at Heswall. This invitation means a lot to me because I will be returning to the Wirral, the area my parents grew up in. My own upbringing was spent travelling around the world with them, living in Nigeria, Australia and for eleven years in Kenya. Later I lived and worked in Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Visiting the Gallery on the Wirral recently I was struck by the beauty of the area and the wonderful views over the River Dee. I look forward to spending some time there whilst my exhibition is on.”

Dave Bez In October 2010, Dee Fine Arts hosted an exhibition of industrial landscape paintings by Dave Bez. Dave is an artist, illustrator & glass designer who draws inspiration from the mix of industrial & pastoral landscapes around his hometown of Manchester. He creates his artworks using a Faux Vitrial technique, hand embellishing his paintings with resin & silicates, a process which adds depth & richness to his work.

Claire Mullen We were delighted to exhibit the work of local photographer Claire Mullen at the gallery in August & September 2010. Claire chooses her subject matter with great thought, achieving a sense of tranquility & serenity in her final images.
Jo Martin
Throughout August & September the unique & innovative work of artist Jo Martin was on display at Dee Fine Arts.
Each piece is individually designed & made by Jo in her studio in North Wales and the result is a decorative & functional artwork with an element of recycling.

Ann King Throughout June we exhibited work by Chester based artist Ann King. Working in many different media including pastel, watercolour & acrylics, Ann creates atmospheric paintings of street scenes, landscapes & buildings. Ann prefers to paint from life but if this is not possible, she works in her studio from sketches produced on location.

Canvas Art Event Throughout May, Dee Fine Arts exhibited a selection of paintings on canvas in the upstairs gallery. Both framed & unframed work was on display with styles ranging from figurative through to abtract.

Open Exhibition of Art & Craft 2010 is an exciting year for everyone at Dee Fine Arts as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary. To mark this important event we held an Open Exhibition of Art & Crafts in April & May.
There was a varied & dynamic selection of paintings, ceramics, glassware, jewellery & other crafts on display from artists predominantly based in the Wirral, Cheshire & Liverpool.

Ruth Piper - From Tuesday 2nd March to Saturday 20th March 2010, Dee Fine Arts hosted an exhibition of oil paintings by local artist Ruth Piper. Exploring the theme of global warming, Ruth's work considered the effect of climate change on our landscape.

Ivan Taylor - An exhibition of new watercolour paintings by the award winning artist Ivan Taylor. Ivan's distinctive style is influenced by the Masters of English landscape from John S. Cotman to Edward Seago. A former president of the Society of Staffordshire Artists, Ivan's work has been successfully exhibited in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa.
